Roush Drops 710HP JackHammer On Ford Mustang GT

No slouch stock the Ford Mustang GT is becoming a favorite for tuners offering performance packages on top of the base GT. The latest being Roush Performance and their Roush JackHammer.

A $14,765 performance package available on top of the Mustang GT the package consists of a Roush TVS 2650 Supercharger which will up the horsepower to a not so shabby 710…All at the dealer in just one day’s time. Additionally, the upgrade includes, “adjustable suspension and new Ultra High Performance Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires, the JackHammer” along with cosmetic upgrade options, but we all know it’s what’s inside that counts.

Brabham Automotive To Unleash Track Only Supercar

The idea of a track only supercar is one that I don’t think I’ll ever fully grasp…At least until my bank account gets a lot more zeros. I like the idea of being able to take a car from street to track and vice versa because after all, a track day is not an easy endeavor so to be limited to such to drive your supercar seems tedious. However, if say I were to hit it rich this Brabham BT62 would be near the top of my list.

I know not to judge a car by its exterior, but I, like Richard, am a sucker for green on race cars and high-end cars, but now to what matters. The BT62 is powered by a 700hp, 492lb.-ft. of torque 5.4-liter V8 engine. The entire car utilizes carbon fiber and kevlar making it incredibly strong and incredibly light, just over one ton, yet the inside brings a sense of luxury with Alcantara joining the carbon fiber throughout. The production run will be limited to just 70 units and cost $1.35-million.

Running Vintage Budweiser Racer To Be Sold In Indy

It’s not quite as iconic globally in racing as Rosso Corsa or Marlboro, but the Budweiser red nevertheless found a home in American motorsports, largely in part to Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Budweiser Chevrolet. However, “The King of Beers” was around way before the Junior era and this 1988 Lola T88/000 Indy car is case and point.

Driven by famed driver Bobby Rahal this car won the Pocono 500 in 1988 powered by a 2.65L turbocharged Judd V-8 racing engine which remains in the car, with two additional ones being included in the sale. Additionally, “a spares package that includes wheels, suspension and road course/short oval wings” will be a part of the sale as well. A great addition to any motorsports collection or for the individual looking to get out and drive as the car is eligible for vintage racing.

This vintage racer heads to auction in Indy mid-May.

Dodge Teases 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat

Trying to get a good look at this Hellcat is like trying to catch a jungle cat at the zoo, you really only ever see a little tail sticking out. Such is the nature of Dodge marketing these days in regards to the Hellcat and Demon as they roll it out piece by piece and feature by feature. However, this is one feature we really dig, a new dual-snorkel hood reminiscent of muscle cars past.

Unfortunately, that’s all they’re saying and showing right now so we will leave you with Dodge’s parting words, “more information to come this summer…”

Mr. October To Part With 19 American Classics At Indy Auction

Reggie “Mr. October” Jackson is set to get rid of a collection of 19 cars as American as baseball itself. In fact, not only are they all domestic, but 18 are various classic Chevrolets with one Pontiac GTO for good measure.

His 10 World Series rings speaks volumes to his ability to get things done and this collection of Chevy’s is no exception. And while their is undoubtedly something for everyone the two big ticket cars are a 1969 Chevrolet Yenko Chevelle and 1968 Chevrolet Yenko Camaro RS/SS which is one of just 11 produced. Both Yenkos could fetch upwards of $300,000. Additionally, there is an assortment of Corvettes of various trims and restoration.
