It pays to have backing, especially Chinese backing these days, as made evident by Saleen’s newest release the 1 with Jiangsu Saleen Automotive Technology Group.
Making its debut at the L.A. Auto Show there is not a lot to go on yet, other than what was said at the time of the release, but based on that it’s clear the car isn’t just looks. A 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine propels the 1 to 60mph in just 3.5-seconds and makes 450hp and 350lb.-ft. of torque.
