First things first, I’ll never own, drive or probably even see one in person either, but let’s not let that get us all worked up and distracted from this amazing Ferrari reveal.
The Monza SP1 and Monza SP2 were unveiled today by Ferrari as part of their new Icona line (and I love it, a little Icona Pop reference for you there). As you may have guessed the SP1 refers to the single-seater while the SP2 is the manufacturer’s two-seater. Both cars will feature a 6.5-liter V12 engine producing 799hp and 530lb.-ft. of torque taking the cars from 0-62mph in just 2.9-seconds and 0-124mph in 7.9-seconds. The pair have a top speed of 186mph.
Both cars are undoubtedly two of the sleekest designed, but the SP2 invokes a little too much of the California if we’re being snobby and I am. However, the SP1 with no windscreen aside from a “virtual” one and single seat setup is stunning. I’ve yet to see a timeframe or price for the release of the cars, but not enough couch cushions in the world for me to scrounge up the change so who cares?
