The BFGoodrich Tires 50th Annual SCORE Baja 1000 is just underway with the trophy trucks launching at noon central time Thursday. Kicking off the annual race was veteran, and past winner, Robby Gordon followed by the winner of the past three years, Rob MacCachren.
One of the most intense races on the planet will take drivers from Ensenada to La Paz, a distance of about 1,134 miles. And because of the off-road nature and the teams discretion in routes the race is truly unpredictable. For example, the previous two years the race was run over the same distance, won by the same driver and in the same car yet featured a time discrepancy of nearly two hours. This years race should finish around 20 hours from start with this previous route being run in 22:31:27. For all the race action you can follow live and for free below or online here.
