Carroll Shelby Estate Parting With Two Dozen Of His Personal Cars

On June 3rd the estate of the late Carroll Shelby will free up some significant garage space when they part with two dozen cars, all at no reserve. The auction will be held at the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance in Greenwich, Connecticut, a testament to just how renowned and sought after the famed designer’s cars have become.

Of the 24 crossing the block some of the more notable cars include: 1969 Shelby GT 500, chassis 0001 of Carroll’s own 1999 Shelby 1 Series, and a 2011 Shelby Cobra CSX 8027. Additionally, it is said that a 1935 Chrysler Airflow Sedan once belonging to Steve McQueen will be for sale as well as Shelby’s first collaboration with Dodge, a 1982 Shelby Charger Prototype.

The auction is being hosted by Bonhams and a full lot list can be found on their website.
