The name Amelia is traditionally engrained in American aviation folklore, but for one upcoming weekend in March Amelia and automotive will be the dominate headline. In 2016 bidders from 20 countries descended on Amelia Island, FL for the annual Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance auction and 2017 looks to repeat the success of previous year’s 38 million dollar weekend. And with a substantial amount of lots coming from the personal collection of former Starbucks CEO, Orin Smith, this year aims to surpass 2016 in both dollars and style.
