Daily Monkey | 1963 International Harvester Scout 80

Communities from The Hamptons to Venice Beach and down south to Florida and surrounding states know the appeal of having a beach car capable of hauling the family and Fido to and from a day in the sun. These days the options are limited to the Wrangler, more or less if buying new, but a good number have held onto classics like the Defender, Bronco or this 1963 International Harvester Scout 80.

The 54-year-old Scout is the epitome of beach car with the fold down windshield and open air design. This particular Scout has gone through retsomod/trophy truck updates that will turn heads at Cars and Coffee in the morning and handedly get the family to the beach in the afternoon. A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 motor with LS7 cams was dyno’d at 570hp. Additionally, the interior features a Z06 full leather dash as well as updated tech and entertainment connectivity for the whole family.
