With just under two weeks to go now until the release of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon at the NYIAS and Dodge continues to impress with every teaser video. The second to last installment in the video series features the Demon’s cooling system which is unlike any other in a factory production car. According to Dodge the Demon will feature “a liquid-to-air charge air cooler chiller system. This exclusive performance feature enables the Challenger SRT Demon to achieve charge air induction temperatures previously unattainable by pressure-charged street-legal production vehicles.” Meaning when in Drag Mode the Demon will send the A/C air from the interior to chill the engine’s air cooling system.
The result of this is an up to 45 degree Fahrenheit decrease in air intake temperature.
