Old meets new is kinda what we’re all about here at Gas Monkey Garage, breathing new life into classics, and this 1970 Dodge Challenger resto mod is the epitome of that.
This first-generation Challenger is that essentially in year only these days having undergone some major upgrades, the most significance of which is the engine. The pièce de résistance, if you will, is the supercharged 6.2L 707hp Hellcat engine we all know and love. Additional modern parts include a Be Cool radiator, Tremec 6-speed transmission, Wilwood brakes, and RideTech coilovers. All the while the exterior keeps the classic Challenger look with a TA style scoop and rear spoiler.
If this resto mod Challenger is your speed, fast, then you’re in luck because it will be auctioned off mid-May at Mecum Indy.
