While Ford makes it pretty clear they’re the “best in Texas” in nearly every truck ad down in these parts, we’re willing to call Shiner the beer of Texas to go along with it. So the pairing between the two brands was a match made in heaven Texas on last night’s Fast N’ Loud.
A familiar face returned to the conclusion of the two part episode and that face is none other than local hot rodder Brian Bass who helped on the the build of another Ford, the ’34. However, this time was only brought in for his steady hand in custom painting the shiner logo and pin-striping of the truck.
In the end the 1959 Ford F-100 was revealed to Shiner and also to the Monkey’s which was an impressive feat. Not so much that Richard kept them in the dark, but that being his talkative self didn’t slip up and let the cat out of the bag. Luckily for all parties involved Shiner loved the truck meaning a cool $150,000 for Richard and a cold one for the Monkeys who don’t have to redo the ’59 Ford. It’s also worth noting that not only did those involved love this build, but it was a favorite around the garage with the rest of the staff and not just because we love beer!
