With 4 doors, the Lamborghini Urus is still a force to be reckoned with

A 4 door is not exactly what you picture when you hear the name “Lamborghini”. While the Urus has made big news as of lately, this is not the first crack at a SUV that the legendary sports car manufacturer has taken.

In 1986, the Italian brand took on a completely new project, the LM002 or also dubbed the “Rambo-Lambo”. The brand initially created the niche of a “super sport utility vehicle” and found themselves a perfect spot for the Rambo Lambo, the Military. Until the military finally decided that they did not need a super sport vehicle on the battlefield, the idea has been somewhat lost for the brand….until now.

But with buying a Lamborghini, no matter how many doors it has, you expect to have that certain “Lamborghini feel”. Under the hood is a twin turbo 4.0 liter V8 engine, pushing out 641hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. Even though the Urus seems to be on the heavier end, it still commands a great 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds. While it might not look like your normal Lambo, it still has racing in it’s DNA. Being called the best in its class, this super sport utility vehicle is a track animal.

The Urus is completed with six drive modes just for the road and track, an additional 3 drive modes for off-road, active roll bars, a torque vectoring rear differential, and carbon breaks with 10 piston calipers. Inside it still has the feel of Lamborghini if you ignore it having a back seat. The interior still has the look and feel you expect for a world class car with all the buttons and switches your heart could desire. Combined with the most amount of options on a Lamborghini ever, you really can make this car your own.

Ultimately, we all want to see what this car can do on the track and dirt and Autocar does a great job of showing what this news breaking car can really put down.
