50 years later the Bullitt Mustang rides again! Debuting at the NAIAS in Detroit the Ford debut turned months of speculation and rumor into reality when it crossed the stage of its hometown. The special-edition Mustang is set to be released summer of 2018 and will do so with a 5.0-liter V8 engine under the hood.
Packing “at least” 475hp and 420lb.-ft. of torque the Bullitt has a top speed of 163mph, eight mph over the current Mustang GT. Available in two colors, Shadow Black and the original Dark Highlighted Green the car also features, “subtle chrome accents around the grille and front windows, classic torque thrust 19-inch aluminum wheels, red painted Bermuda brakes, and a unique black front grille.” Additionally, the car will feature minimal badging further adding to its aggressive appearance or as Carl Widmann, Mustang chief engineer put it, “It has to have the right attitude, it has to be unique in some way from a Mustang GT, and more than anything, it has to be bad ass.”
