In 1966 Ford debuted the Bronco to compete with the likes of the Jeep CJ and International Harvester Scout, unknown to them at the time they’d be debuting an icon.
For the next 30 years Ford would continue to produce the Bronco discontinuing it in 1996. However, the manufacturer is in the process of revitalizing the Bronco slated for a 2020 model year, but until then we have builds like this to keep our Bronco cravings in check.
Built by Andy Leach of Cal Automotive Creations this Bronco was named a SEMA Battle of the Builders finalist and featured at Royal Purple’s SEMA booth. Additionally, it would earn a feature in Truck Trend’s November 2016 issue. This Ginger Ale Metallic and Golden Amber Pearl Bronco features a X302 Ford Racing crate engine, Billet Specialties Tru-Trac serpentine kit and 5 ½ inch James Duff lift kit to name just a few of its extensive upgrades.
Slated to Headline Mecum’s Harrisburg, PA auction in early August, this first-generation Bronco stands to hammer at a nice price.
