Neither Toyota or the Supra is a stranger to motorsports, but 2019 will mark the first year of the model’s involvement in NASCAR.
The Supra will make its debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in mid-February at Daytona and when it does will be the third different model Toyota is fielding in three different NASCAR series. The Japanese manufacturer will continue to race the Camry in the league’s top Monster Energy Series and the Texas-built Tundra NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Though Toyota hasn’t announced plans to bring the Camry to NASCAR’s top series yet, it wouldn’t be a shock to see it racing on Sundays in 2020…or after.
