The “most capable SUV ever” means, well, know idea what it means, but it’s what Jeep is calling their 2018 Wrangler and don’t let the ambiguity of the tagline fool you, it’s pure Jeep.
Taking cues from Jeep’s past the 2018 Wrangler embraces its heritage with a keystone-shaped grille, round headlights and square tail lamps and iconic fold down windshield. In keeping with the purpose built tradition of Jeeps prior the new Wrangler features, “unmatched capability with Command-Trac and Rock-Trac 4×4 systems, next-generation Dana axles, new Selec-Trac full-time two-speed transfer case, Tru-Lock electric front- and rear-axle lockers, Trac-Lok limited-slip differential and 33-inch off-road tires.”
New to 2018 and beyond is some powertrain options to truly be excited about. To start, a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine will be available for the first time, a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine and joining the lineup in 2019 will be a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6. Additionally, a six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmission will be offered.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler 2-door model is available in three different trim configurations: Sport, Sport S and Rubicon. Wrangler 4-door models are available in four different trim configurations: Sport, Sport S, Sahara and Rubicon.
