While you probably associate the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) more with robots, space travel and tech you have no idea even exists, Lamborghini has recently partnered with them on a supercar of the future.
The Lamborghini Terzo Millennio translates to “third millennium” and given we’re just now beginning the second the name is a bit presumptuous, but never-the-less a fascinating look at what the future of Lamborghini design may hold. The partnership matched Lamborghini with two MIT labs to explore the future of automotive through five different aspects: energy storage systems, innovative materials, propulsion system, visionary design, and emotion.

Automobili Lamborghini in collaboration with two laboratories of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology marks the first steps of a possible future Lamborghini electric super sports car.
On the occasion of this announcement Lamborghini presents the new design concept “Lamborghini of the Terzo Millennio”. The concept physically imagines design and technology theories of tomorrow, while sustaining the visual intrigue, breath-taking performance and, most importantly, the visceral emotion found in every dimension of a Lamborghini. It is made for future super sports car enthusiasts.
