Everything’s bigger in Texas and that includes racing at Texas Motor Speedway. This past weekend marked the annual race weekend where NASCAR’s top-three series converge upon the 1.5-mile track. And in keeping with the big things Texas is known for, Kurt Busch set the tone for the weekend Friday with not just a TMS qualifying record, but one for 1.5-mile tracks with a 200.915 mph lap.
From there, it was off to the races… Johnny Sauter would take the checkered Friday night in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series as would Erik Jones Saturday in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. Kevin Harvick would bring home the victory in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series securing a spot in the final four at Homestead with just two races to go in the season.
