1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8 Goes For Record Money

With pre-sale estimates in the $1.2-$1.5 million dollar range this 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8 exceeded expectations with a pretty staggering $1,655,000 price tag. A tally which makes it the most expensive 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RS ever sold at auction.

One of 55 the Carrera RS 3.8 was part of a single-owner collection of 964 variants brought to auction. Of the 11 which he brought this one was, naturally, the most expensive, but not too distant to it was a 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 painted Ferrari Yellow with less than 500 miles on the odometer. That second of the 11 brought would hammer at $1,270,000 making a pretty penny for the collector on these two rare Porsches alone.
