Mustang California GT Special Resurrected For 2019 Model Year

Originally taking to the streets in 1968 the California Special will make its return 50 years later. The 2019 model year will take some styling cues from its older brethren with new colors, Velocity Blue, Need for Green and the BULLITT model’s exclusive Dark Highland Green, but at its heart it will be all new Mustang.

The California will feature a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 460hp and 420 lb.-ft of torque, equating to a 155mph top-speed. More than adequate to blow your hat off on the Pacific Coast Highway. Additionally, when you’re cruising with the top down people will be sure to hear you coming as for the first time B&O PLAY audio system comes to the Mustang bringing with it a 10-channel amplifier producing 1,000 watts and 12 speakers.
