You may remember this car from Baby Driver, in fact, this exact car was the one used in the opening sequence of the hit film. And for those that don’t recall or haven’t seen it the entire six minute opening sequence is conveniently located below for you to watch and then go out and rent the whole thing.
The all-wheel drive 2006 Subaru WRX underwent a drivetrain swap with a WRX STI by Allpro Subaru in Alpharetta, Georgia. The stunt car, which is entirely street legal in Texas where it is being sold, also features a “CNC hydraulic handbrake, OS Giken front differential, Cusco rear LSD, Forged CP pistons and Exedy stage 1 clutch.” Accompanying the sale of the car is interviews with the stunt drivers involved, matched screen shots and a build sheet with receipts documenting the $20,000 worth of modifications made to the car. Destined to be known as one of the more iconic movie cars in history the Subaru WRX is being auctioned with no reserve at Mecum Houston.
