The Nearly $100,000 F-450 Pickup Ford Hopes Raises The Bar

Luxury and utility do not need to be exclusive and Ford proves it with the new Ford F-Series Super Duty Limited. Delivering performance and comfort the F-450 aims to set the bar for luxury in the pickup market like none before it.

Via Ford:
“There are heavy-duty truck customers who need Super Duty-level capability and want true luxury,” Eckert said. “We created this new truck to answer the call for even more premium choices in the Super Duty range as we see more and more truck customers trending to more premium models.”

More than 50 percent of the Super Duty lineup’s retail sales this year are high-end models – including Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum series. Limited goes even further.

“Imagine opening the door to your humidor and sinking into your favorite leather lounge chair – that’s the sensation new Super Duty Limited inspires,” said Ford design manager Aileen Barraza.

Custom Camelback two-tone leather seats, premium stitched leather-wrapped steering wheel, armrests and instrument panel, Miko® suede headliner, hand-finished dark ash wood trim, special badging set the interior apart. Outside, a special twin-bar satin grille with chrome accents, quad-beam LED lights and satin-finished tailgate applique are Limited’s unique calling cards. Each Limited also has a dedicated serial number laser-etched on the center console armrest.

Alfa Romeo Continues Four-Door Domination With Fastest Production SUV [VIDEO]

It appears that FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) has found their niche, speed. Joining their distinguished list of incredibly fast production cars like the Dodge Demon and Jeep Trackhawk is Alfa Romeo’s Stelvio Quadrifoglio, the fastest production SUV.

Equipped with a best in class 505hp 2.9-liter 24-valve twin-turbo intercooled V-6 engine the SUV has a top speed of 177mph with a 0-60 time of just 3.7-seconds. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio took the title of fastest production SUV with a blistering lap around the Nurburgring in 7:51.7, eight seconds faster than the previous record.

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio joins Alfa Romeo brethren Giulia Quadrifoglio as record holders, fastest production SUV and fastest four-door production car, respectively.

Ram Celebrates Texas With Southfork, Lone Star Silver Editions

Ram loves special edition trucks and Texans love trucks, so guess what? Ram has announced two new editions for 2018: Laramie Longhorn Southfork and Heavy Duty Lone Star Silver.

Inside the Southfork the driver will feel as though they’re in a leather shop in Arizona. One hundred percent full-grain leather wraps the seats, leather wrapped A and B pillars, as well as a full suede headliner make up the luxurious interior. The interior will also bring the latest in Ram technology within arms reach of the driver, “with Uconnect 4C 8.4-inch touchscreen, which includes navigation, 4G WiFi capability, Apple Car Play and Google Android Auto.”

The Laramie Longhorn Southfork edition is available on Ram 1500/2500/3500 4×2 and 4×4 Crew Cab, Mega Cab, long or short box. Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Southfork edition MSRP starts at at $51,220 plus $1,395 destination. MSRP for Ram 2500 Heavy Duty models is $55,620, plus $1,395.

On the flip side is the Lone Star Silver edition which features a cloth or vinyl interior option and a slew of exterior accents, such as, a new “luxury grille with chrome surround and chrome Wave Mesh inserts.”

The Ram Heavy Duty Lone Star Silver edition is available on Ram 2500/3500 4×2 and 4×4 Crew Cab with a choice of 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8, 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 or renowned 6.7-liter Cummins I-6 featuring the highest available torque at 930 lb.-ft. Pricing is $46,130 with a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $44,735, plus a $1,395 destination charge.

The 2018 Kia Stinger GT Will Make You Forget All About The Dancing Hamsters

Off the bat Kia laid down some strong phrases with their 2018 Stinger, “designed in Frankfurt” and “developed on the Nürburgring,” and then they instantly backed them up with a 0-60mph time of 4.7-seconds, besting a Porsche Panamera.

What began as just a concept in 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show will hit the streets in December of this year, a journey which in car years is relatively short. Packing a twin turbocharged V6 the Stinger GT puts out 365hp and 376 lb.-ft. of torque, besting the “Audi S5 Sportback, BMW 440i Gran Coupe, and Infiniti Q50” when it comes to power and propelling it to a top speed of 167mph.

Simply put, this is one badass Kia and hopefully representative of the direction of the brand away from the likes of the Soul; oh, and the dancing hamsters.

Fastest Porsche 911 Ever Runs Blistering Lap At Nurburgring, Sets Record [VIDEO]

Rumors were floating around online that Porsche was going to challenge the Lamborghini Huracan Performante for the Nurburgring record and they proved false. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS didn’t challenge the Huracan, it obliterated it. The record setting run took place on September 20th with an insane time of 6:47.3, nearly 5-seconds greater than the Huracan’s time of 6:52.01.

The record was for road-approved sports cars, but so quick that it came within three seconds of an overall track record, including electric race cars. The street legal 911 GT2 RS was debuted at Goodwood in June and averaged a speed of 114mph.

Welcome to Year 4 Fall Workshop

The EcoCAR 3 Fall Workshop is underway! As EcoCAR 3 heads into Year 4, the students have arrived in Boston to prepare for a fantastic year of refining their vehicle.

The workshop is being held at the MathWorks headquarters in Natick, MA. The MathWorks campus is an ideal location for the students to learn not only software and hardware they will need for their vehicle work this year, but will learn new communication and project management material as well.

Over the four-day workshop, students will attend workshop sessions on ride and handling calibration, schedule management, ADAS training, and many others. All will give students the tools they need to have a competitive year.

The Legend Of Mr. Norm And His 50th Anniversary GSS Challenger

When it comes to muscle cars of the ‘60s they were certainly different than today. And while that may sound like a blanket observation aimed at playing it safe, it is. The truth being, trying to compare the two is apples and oranges at this point when it comes to performance and in the eye of the beholder when it comes to styling, though these eyes prefer the past. However, car dealerships, particularly Grand Spaudling Dodge, were also very different than ones today.

On the corner of Grand and Spaulding brothers Norm and Len began selling used cars from their father’s gas station. After years of this a Dodge representative talked them into switching over to selling new Dodges, the Kraus brothers agreed. However, their plan was not whacky waving inflatable arm men or sign spinners, no, it was high performance and more power.

Looking away from the middle-aged muscle car buyer the dealership wanted to target a younger demographic. To do so they offered “Mr. Norm’s Sport Club,” Mr. Norm’s racing apparel and most importantly, and surprisingly, would tune the cars for significantly more power from the dealer. Grand Spaulding Dodge would quickly rise to the best-selling dealership in the country and Mr. Norm to legendary status in the muscle car world.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Grand Spaulding Dodge, Mr. Norm’s released a GSS Mr. Norm’s 50th Anniversary 2013 Dodge Challenger. Limited to just eight this is one of those eight. Adding to the already storied history of the car and its namesake is that it’s being sold by NFL legend Adam Vinatieri. The sale will take place at Mecum Chicago, the birthplace of Grand Spaulding Dodge.

Pictures and pricing are available now in their website weeks in advance of its October 9 public debut at J-Nation. Gary Vaynerchuk To Host Richard On The #AskGaryVee Show

The idea of, “a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement,” is the American Dream, as creator of the phrase put it, author James Truslow Adams. Today, that initial sentiment continues to ring true as every individual works within it toward achieving their American Dream. Two individuals who, by every measure, have achieved theirs, Gary Vaynerchuk and Richard Rawlings, will come together this Friday, September 29th on The #AskGaryVee Show.

Gary immigrated to the United States at a young age from Belarus in the former USSR. Once stateside he, and his extended family, settled into a studio apartment in Queens, NY while his father would commute to work at a friend’s liquor store in New Jersey. His father would eventually tap Gary to join the now family business, but simply working retail wasn’t enough to quench his entrepreneurial spirit. Gary was able to convince his father to let him rename the business and launch it online, as a result it grew from, “$3MM to $60MM in sales in just five years.” Gary was now off to the races.

It was in 2006 that Gary would pivot from the wine business to grow upon the successes he had marketing and with video content creation. This would lead to the creation of VaynerMedia, numerous angel investments in companies like Uber and Twitter, as well as creation of The #AskGaryVee Show and the list of accomplishments and accolades goes on and on.

Richard was born in Fort Worth, TX and developed a passion for cars at a young age. While that passion would need to take a backseat as he pursued being a police officer, firefighter and paramedic followed by his own printing/advertising company, Lincoln Press. However, with that passion for cars lingering Richard would open Gas Monkey Garage and sell off Lincoln Press. Gas Monkey Garage would go on to spawn the Discovery show Fast N’ Loud, an energy drink, bars/restaurants, a line of liquor and more.

Despite two very different upbringings and life paths Gary and Richard share that entrepruenieral spirit necessary to succeed and achieve the American Dream. A topic the two will undoubtedly discuss this Friday on The #AskGaryVee Show.
