Founded by Carroll Shelby, Shelby American has perhaps one of the hardest namesakes to live up to in the automotive world. Yet, they continue to deliver on performance upgrades to Ford vehicles year after year and their latest Shelby Raptor is no exception.
The Raptor was no slouch when it was introduced as a 2016 model year F-150. Its stock 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 delivers 450hp and kicks out 510 lb.-ft. of torque which provided the team at Shelby American a kickass starting point. From their it was off to the races as the team up the horsepower by 75 with an additional 100lb.-ft. of torque bringing the new totals to 525 and 610, respectively.
Shelby will limit the run to 500 of the 2018 F-150 Raptors with an MSRP of $117,460, up significantly from the $68,165 price. Additionally, owners of a 2017 can take their Raptor to Shelby for a conversion that will set them back $46,295.
