Typically when the city of Fayetteville, AR hosts hundreds of thousands of people they’re decked out in red and the sound of the Hogs being called resonates from Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. However, one weekend a year, for the past 17 years, the masses are clad in their various cuts and the sound is nothing, but the revving of motorcycles and blues… It’s Bikes, Blues and BBQ.
The annual event has grown through the years into the largest charity motorcycle rally having realized over $1.5 million to benefit local charities. And if the bikes themselves aren’t for you the city takes on an almost carnival like atmosphere with fried foods a plenty, live music, car/bike parades and BBQ competitions. This years event brought an estimated 300-350 thousand people which the University of Arkansas believes to be worth between $69 and $81 million in economic impact.
