Even the layman can tell the Ford Raptor is one kickass truck just by looking at it, but its what you can’t see that takes it up a notch. The 2017 Raptor features what Ford calls a “cutting-edge” transfer case. Traditionally, a truck like this would have either an on-demand system or electronic shift-on-the-fly system, but thanks to Ford engineers the new Raptor has “an all-new dual-mode transfer case that incorporates both all-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive systems and electronic lockers to deliver the ultimate multi-terrain experience.” This means that the Raptor is able to best deliver its 450hp and 510 lb.-ft. of torque to the wheels thanks to the most advanced driving system in its class.
