Attention future Bentley owners, that new leather smell you have come to know and love in cars will soon be an option. It was reported by Auto Express that Bentley’s Director of Design Stefan Sielaff is in the process of creating an interior that would be vegan friendly. As it stands the interior of Bentley takes around 20 bull hides. The new material would be a composite of, “protein leather, mushroom leather, jellyfish material.” There was no time frame given on when the faux-leather interiors will be available, but it could mean other automakers will follow suit in giving their buyers alternative options. Additionally, no word was given on whether the smells of rich mahogany would remain.
