McLaren Drops The Details And The Top On The New 570S Spider

McLaren did everyone a solid in releasing the details on their new 570S Spider two weeks in advance of its world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This should be ample time to flip the couch cushions in search of that approximately $210,402 you’ll need to buy it and you will want to buy it.

For starters, it’s not too different than the 570S Coupe and that’s a good thing. You’re not buying a new model, per se, but rather an open-air variant of a tried and true McLaren. At just 101 pounds heavier than its coupe brethren the structural rigidity remains unchanged as do the speeds of 0-62mph in 3.2-seconds and top speed of 204mph, 196mph, though, if you want to feel the wind in your hair. And with the top being able to open or close in just 15-seconds at speeds under 25mph you can easily get those lost 8mph back to take full advantage of the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged McLaren V8 engine.
