The Ford F-Series truck has been the best selling truck for 40 consecutive years. As a manufacturer Ford makes up the lion’s share of law enforcement vehicles, so the pairing of the two makes perfect sense. Enter the 2018 F-150 Police Responder, the first pursuit-rated pickup.
Under the hood the F-150 is equipped with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine producing 375hp and 470 lb.-ft. of torque for a top speed of 100mph. All the while not sacrificing the four-wheel drive and all terrain performance the model has become known for. On the police side of the spectrum the F-150 Police Responder has been given a police-calibrated brake system, upgraded front-stabilizer and 18-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires. Additionally, a high-output 240-amp alternator was added to give more power to the assortment of police electronics inside the car.
