“The Honda Accord’s not sexy,” shouted a colleague as this was written and unfortunately for Honda that might be the perception, but it’s not the reality. The new 2018 Honda Accord was debuted and off the bat the styling continues to move the brand forward in the same manner the new Civic Type R did recently.
An aggressive front end paired with the swooping lines of the car create a much more youthful looking Accord. While already the best-selling midsize sedan in America this 10th generation Accord stands to expand on that tapping into a younger demographic. The more performance oriented Accord comes with a 2.0-liter turbo option derived from the Type R producing 252hp and 273 lb.ft.of torque. Though this is a decrease in horsepower for the V6 the torque is up by 21 and the new Accord is delivering max torque at 4000rpm verse 4900.
The 2018 Honda Accord will launch this fall and in doing so the marketplace may soon begin altering its opinion of the Accord.
