Happy Birthday, Ford Trucks! 100 Years Ago Today The Model TT Was Introduced

Exactly 100 years ago to the day (because that’s how birthdays work) Ford introduced its first purpose-built truck, the 1917 Model TT. At that time Ford had no way of knowing the type of juggernaut their trucks would become. For the past 40 consecutive years their F-Series truck in America and best selling vehicle for the past 35 years. While in Canada the F-Series has spent the majority of Ford’s truck run as the best selling truck their 51 consecutive years.

All a long way from that July 27, 1917 when the TT was born and would sell 209 that year with a factory price of $600.
