INFINITI Unveils 1940s Inspired Prototype 9 At Pebble Beach

The idea behind most prototype cars is to project a vision for the brands future, an aesthetic and advancement to strive towards. That’s just what INFINITI did with their Prototype 9 which features a prototype hybrid electric motor and battery, but in achieving the overall future aesthetic the brand had to look to their Nissan racing heritage.

A nod to 1940s racers the Prototype 9 features an open air cockpit along with the widest wire wheels the whole car feels plucked from a ’40’s Le Mans grid. Additionally, the old-world feel is mirrored in the hand beaten materials that make up the cars exquisite exterior. The INFINITI Prototype 9 will be on display at Pebble Beach.
