New for 2018 Chevrolet has announced the Tahoe Custom Edition. Aimed at, essentially, the Goldilocks of buyers, the Custom Edition fills, “an unmet need in the marketplace for customers who want the cargo and towing capability of a full-size SUV to go camping, boating or off-roading but don’t necessarily want all of the option content offered on a Tahoe Premier,” according to Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet Trucks marketing director.
Based on the LS trim, the Custom Edition will be offered in LS, 2WD and 4WD all with the standard 5.3L V-8 engine. The 355hp Custom Edition will also comes with, what Chevy expects to be, a segment-leading 23mpg highway. Additionally, the Custom Edition will have no third row increasing the cargo space to 54 cubic feet, an overall max of 112 cubic feet of cargo space and a 6,600 pound towing capacity.
