Trucks are the backbone of rural America being utilized for business and leisure. As a result, the big three automakers often cater to this subset of society through special editions, like Ford’s King Ranch. However, until now, farmers have gone largely ignored despite their dependency on trucks. Enter Ram’s 2018 Harvest Edition, “the first truck designed specifically for the agriculture industry.”
Available in the third-quarter of 2017, the Harvest lineup will introduce two new colors: Case IH Red and New Holland Blue. The Harvest Edition will be available across the 1500, 2500 and 3500’s entire lineup, including all cab configurations, bed lengths and powertrains. A ride height increase of one-inch will bring added comfort to those country roads while, “tubular side steps, a durable spray-in bedliner, fold-out bumper step and mud flaps, rubber floor mats, skid plates and tow hooks (4×4)” bring added convenience. Ram 1500 Harvest Edition MSRP starts at $39,910, plus $1,395 destination charge. Ram Heavy Duty models start at $46,235.
