Chevy’s ’67 Centennial Celebration C-10 Ready For SEMA Debut

In 1918 the first Chevrolet truck rolled off the line. The One-Ton, as it was known, was powered by a four-cylinder engine, produced 36hp and had a top-speed of just 25mph. And with that first truck Chevy Trucks was born, paving the way for millions more over the next 100 years from 1918 to the 2018 model year which they celebrate today.

To honor their 100 year run Chevy decided to build a custom 1967 C-10 which was shown at the State Fair of Texas. The ’67 appropriately splits the 100 years of trucks down middle looking to the past while also looking to the future. “This truck leverages many of the same design details on the 2018 Centennial Edition Silverado and Colorado, from the Centennial Blue paint color to the heritage bowtie emblems.” The C-10 will makes its way to Las Vegas, NV for the annual SEMA show where it will stand alongside the best show cars on the planet.

The Best Of SEMA | Day One

The annual SEMA show, or as Richard would say “our Super Bowl,” is well underway and as most of you now know it served as the world debut of two builds from this season of Fast N’ Loud. Fast N’ Loud Weekly Recap | All About The Bass

Somewhere at Discovery someone is patting themselves on the back for that Meghan Trainor reference in the title, but it’s true. The takeaway from this week’s episode was Brian Bass.

With the step-van squarely in the rear-view it’s back to basics at Gas Monkey Garage and that means hot rods, but in typical monkey fashion they’re putting their on twist on things. A 1934 Ford coupe in the styling of a ’60’s hot rod and to help pull off such a feat they enlist the help of local Dallas hot rodder, Brian Bass.

A Texas native, Bass is a hot-rodder through and through, with the occasional bike mixed in. He is also Fast N’ Loud’s first ever guest builder which off the bat may have some out there scratching their head, but working with the best only makes you better. And while you all will have to wait for the second part of the episode to air, Bass is the best and with the Monkeys they produce one kickass hot rod.

Dewey Ryder aka Danny McBride Takes Over For Dale Jr.

Best known as Kenny Powers this is a Danny McBride character that we wouldn’t hate seeing in more than just this commercial. As part of Mountain Dew’s farewell to Dale Earnhardt Jr. they created this hilarious spoof where McBride, err rather Dewey Ryder, comes to claim his seat in the Mountain Dew Chevrolet. Check it out!

The 2018 COPO Camaro Gets All-New 302 Racing Engine

Poised for the strip the 2018 Chevrolet COPO Camaro will feature an all-new 302 Gen V Small Block engine based of the current SS’s LT1. Additionally, the car will be offered in a “naturally aspirated 427 (7.0L) or supercharged 350 (5.7L) racing engine.”

Chevy will produce just 69 of these COPO Camaros to be designated for sale via a lottery based on those who register. And while the odds of being selected to buy one of these rare ‘Maros isn’t particularly in your favor, the odds of winning on the strip would be with a “mid-8-second quarter-mile times at nearly 160 mph” running the supercharged 350.

Gymkhana 10 Gets Epic Teaser Trailer, Amazon Docuseries

Ten years in the making. Five locations. Five vehicles, including one all-new Ford truck build. All combine to make one amazing looking Gymkhana 10. Debuting 2018 the latest installment in the series will also feature an Amazon docuseries taking the viewer behind the scenes and give insight into the entire series. According to Deadline the series will be eight episodes and produced by Hoonigan Media Machine with Ken Block serving as one of the Executive Producers.

2018 Ford Mustang RTR Revealed With Over 700HP!

The Mustang is no stranger to having some of the most iconic names in motorsports tied to it: Shelby, McLaren, Roush and now… RTR. And while not a last name, RTR is the brainchild of Mustang “madman,” and world champion drifter, Vaughn Gittin Jr.

Developed by RTR, in conjunction with Ford, the 2018 Ford Mustang RTR will be available in a Spec 1, Spec 2 and Spec 3 version at select dealers worldwide. The first is, for the most part, cosmetic, dubbed RTR Exterior Design Package. The RTR Tactical Performance is Spec 2 and features adjustable shocks/struts, axle back exhaust/performance calibration and lowering springs and more, amongst the standard appearance package and LED grille lighting.

However, the pièce de résistance is the RTR Supercharged Performance option putting out over 700hp when added to the GT package. Additionally, it features touches of the above and way more.
