Debuting earlier in the year Ford now has two new pursuit-rated vehicles in their arsenal, the F-150 Police Responder and Police Responder Hybrid Sedan.
Following grueling testing by the Michigan State Police last month at Grattan Raceway the law enforcement body confirmed the trucks and hybrid sedan’s pursuit ratings. The duo was joined by the Police Interceptor Sedan and all three featured Ford’s 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. In 0-100mph testing the hybrid came in a second quicker than the classic Crown Victoria, but crushed it in terms of fuel economy with twice the efficiency at 40 mpg city, 36 mpg highway and 38 mpg combined. The F-150 on the other hand delivered a 0-60mph time of 6.3-seconds.
