In 1918 the first Chevrolet truck rolled off the line. The One-Ton, as it was known, was powered by a four-cylinder engine, produced 36hp and had a top-speed of just 25mph. And with that first truck Chevy Trucks was born, paving the way for millions more over the next 100 years from 1918 to the 2018 model year which they celebrate today.
To honor their 100 year run Chevy decided to build a custom 1967 C-10 which debuted at the State Fair of Texas where it can be seen through October 22nd. The ’67 appropriately splits the 100 years of trucks down middle looking to the past while also looking to the future. “This truck leverages many of the same design details on the 2018 Centennial Edition Silverado and Colorado, from the Centennial Blue paint color to the heritage bowtie emblems.” After that the C-10 will make it’s way to Las Vegas, NV for the annual SEMA show where it will stand alongside the best show cars on the planet.
