It was in 1992 that the Monster motorcycle first debuted for Ducati at the Cologne Motor Show and it is now, 25 years later, the Monster 821 makes its debut. Taking cues from the original Monster 900, the 821 offers the same rider friendly mentality with low costs.
The 821 features a Euro 4 compliant liquid-cooled Testastretta 11° engine which generates 109hp and 63lb.-ft of torque at 9250 and 7750rpms, respectively. As far as designed is concerned Ducati has upgraded the 821 to reflect the aesthetic of the 1200 with, “a more streamlined, agile look with fully redesigned tank and tail, an all-new silencer and a headlight that is both classic and contemporary.” The Ducati 821 is available in Ducati Red, black and Ducati Yellow.
